Books and Cleverness

Michael and I consider ourselves fortunate for many reasons, but one of them is that our children seem to have inherited our love of books. While this means nothing good any time we move, I love living in a home with books stored happily in every nook and cranny we can find to put them in. Often we have to create new book spaces, and these little shelves next to our “fireplace” are one of my favorites. 

Most mornings Mabel toddles over to make one or two selections that we can look at together or that she can flip through in her comfy chair, and it does my Mama’s Heart a world of good.

Another thing that gets pulled off the shelf regularly in the mornings are our blocks. Our Uncle Goose constellation blocks are favorites of our space obsessed littles. (I’m a little obsessed over them too, to be honest.) 

Some mornings are lazy, and some mornings we’re on the go from dawn til noon. And I’m okay with that. I am actually really enjoying being a Morning Mama...as long as I have my coffee.
