Shepherd

Usually we wait to get our “main” tree until after right Thanksgiving. While our bedroom trees are artificial, our living room tree is real, and has been since we moved to Colorado in 2014. Waiting until after Thanksgiving for our living room tree is to help make sure it makes it through the holidays without loosing all its needles or that amazing scent. 

However, they are forecasting a considerable amount of snow heading into Thanksgiving this year, and we worried that the roads wouldn’t be in good enough condition to drive out and get our tree next weekend. Given that, we decided that today was the perfect day to get our live tree.  I’m so excited to get “Shepherd” set up and decked. (Yes, we name our trees.) 

Here’s a little bit of “his” trunk. Eleanor asks to keep the bit they cut off every year. We really need to get a shadow box for them.
