Four Paws
Our family grew again this weekend. By four paws.
Michael and I have been looking for awhile. We found dogs that fit wonderfully with the human members of our family, but weren’t right for our sixteen year old pup, Jake, and he was our deciding factor. He’s been with us since 2007 when we rescued him from a kill shelter after a history of severe abuse. He’s been the most amazing boy, and if he didn’t seem comfortable with another pup then we knew it wasn’t a fit that would work for us.
She was dropped off at the shelter by a family member saying that they were moving and couldn’t take her. She came into the room with sad eyes and her tail tucked so far between her legs that Michael thought she didn’t have one. She hid under the desk and took us in nervously, but eventually came out and met each of us in turn, greeting us with gentle licks and head bumps. She was extremely interested in Mabel, who was napping in her car seat, and Jake bounced around with her like a puppy again.
She needed a second chance, and we just happen to be a family into second chances.

Welcome, Tallulah Honey June.
