Good Morning, Mommy!
Yesterday it was her sibling’s feet. Why not her’s today? Feet generally gross me out, but there is something special about your own baby’s feet. Up to a certain age, anyways. The boys now think my foot issue is hilarious, and my darling Eleanor, not quite understanding Mommy’s issue with it, was caught brushing the space between her toes with Mommy’s toothbrush this weekend.
That’s okay. It was time for a new one anyways.
We had a rare “Moonlight Party” last night. Mabel woke up, ready to go, around 2. She was all sleepy smiles and snuggling, but had no inclination to fall back asleep for me. I was beginning to think we’d watch the sunrise together when she finally drifted off around 5, still smiling.
Her sleeping in should mean I get to too, however Tallulah’s uncontrolled separation anxiety when Michael leaves in the morning means that I’m running on about 3 hours with nothing except my coffee for support.
We’ve been spoiled by Jake who both doesn’t bark and is properly happy just to snooze in his crate when we aren’t in his line of site. At this point I am more than a little worried how she’s going to adjust when the school year starts and our schedules change again. Even homeschoolers like to leave the house sometimes.
We’ll thrive, I’m sure. Until then, baby toes! (And coffee!)
