A New Normal
We’re 20 months into our journey with Type 1 Diabetes. Some days I feel like we’re rocking it. I mean, we’re pretty much experts in our field at this point. We don’t even have to call his endo to make dosage changes anymore. Other days I feel like we’re barely treading water, and I wonder how we’ll do this for the rest of forever.
And that’s all normal. Some days we’re on top of it, and some days we’re just holding on. Both of those are okay.
As a family we are big on tradition, and one of our traditions during endo trips is taking their pictures in these large circle cut outs. We do them every time, first individuals and then a group shot, and looking back I can already see how far we’ve come. It makes how far we have to go a little less daunting.
We do this together as a family. This isn’t something he has to face alone, and it never will be.
