Something New

Since everyone in the family except me woke up with an intense donut craving this morning, we tried out a new donut place. 

We are something of Donut Snobs, Michael and I having been spoiled growing up near Bill’s Donuts in Centerville, Ohio, so finding a good, home made donut place we all like for the occasional treat whenever the military moves us somewhere new has always been a goal. Since moving to Colorado in 2014 we’ve experienced Amy’s Donuts, Voodoo Donuts, a place simply called The Donut Shop, and our current favorite, Lamar’s. 

Today we tried out Shipley’s Donuts, and my donut loving family gave it a thumbs up. Parker even declared that he’s going to start a blog where he eats at donut places and rates them. (I think he’s hoping we’ll go for donuts more often.)
