Sugar Plum
Months of practices and rehearsals came together today, and Eleanor danced in her first ever ballet, The Nutcracker. I am insanely proud, and completely baffled the boys by crying at last night’s final dress rehearsal. (“It’s not even the actual show, Mom!”)
Everyone should walk off stage to a group of adoring fans and something to hold in their arms while they stand, smiling, for pictures. We’ve always had something for the boys after their performances, so Eleanor needed a little gift too, even if we’re less than 2 weeks from Christmas.
After much deliberation (On my part, at least. I think Michael was just willing to go with anything I could make up my mind on.) we got her a tiny little bouquet wrapped in this oh-so-soft unicorn from Slumberkins. (Check them out!) She’s already dubbed her Sugar Plum. It was love at first sight.
