Crowded Mornings

Some days I wake up and roll my eyes, because my bed has once again been invaded sometime during the night by little humans who take up far more than their fair share of my space.

I grumble about waking up clinging onto the edge of my mattress, or having to climb over a tangle of arms and legs simply to go to the bathroom, but I also know that this time is so fleeting. That before I know it I’ll wake up in a big, mostly empty bed with no elbows in my side or tiny toes in my face, and I will think longingly of these crowded dawns. Dream on, tiny humans. Mommy loves you so!
